Producer Pete Rock worked with Nas on his classic joint "The World Is Yours," which, for you stans, appeared on 1994's five-mic Illmatic. When speaking with HHDX, Pete said something quite interesting:

"But to say something about that incident [in regards to the alleged "relationship" with Carmen Bryan], I don't even know her. I'll say it again. I don't know that woman. Obviously, he thinks I know her because he hasn't spoken to me in 14 years. And if that's the reason, I think that's real stupid of him. And you can quote me saying that."
So it's like that? And after all this:
"Large [Professor] took me down to Pete Rock's basement years ago, back when Pete was DJing on Marley Marl's show. When we went to the studio [for his album], he laid down the beat to "The World is Yours," but he had to break out. And me and my man stayed, I laid one verse down, my man made up the chorus, sung it. Pete says there is a big chance they will never team again.
Dirty bird b*tches always find their way through the whole crew, but it looks like it didn't happen this time. It's just a shame that a silly rumor shattered such a good chemistry. Come on Nas. Chlamydia Carmen?

그래도 똥고집이던 뭐던 개념은 있는 줄 알았더니,
Def Jam으로 옮긴 이후의 그는 더 멀게만 느껴지네요.
더 이상 뮤지션 자체를 좋아하기는 힘들어져요.
그가 깔아내렸던 Jadakiss,Raekwon,Mobb Deep 앨범들에서의 Rap은 기억하겠지만, 솔직히 그 외에 그가 한 짓이나 그의 정규작들에 대해서 딱히 할 말도 없고.. 사람도 마음에 안들고.
결정적으로, 내한공연 참여진이 너무 구라같아요. 쳐비쌀것같구.
돈비싼거야뭐그만한네임밸류니까이해해야죠
